St. Joseph's Church
219 S Beaver St, York, PA 17401
When a section of ceiling plaster collapsed inside the historic St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Renovo, PA, our team was brought in to assess the full extent of the damage. What began as an emergency conditions report evolved into a comprehensive stabilization and restoration effort to preserve the church’s architectural and artistic integrity.
Our scope of work included extensive plaster stabilization across the nave, side aisles, and sanctuary ceilings using the proprietary HPCS 3-Step Consolidation System. The project involved attic rigging, plaster key replacement, and the careful removal of improperly installed insulation that had contributed to moisture retention and structural deterioration.
In addition to structural work, we completed a full decorative repainting of ceilings, walls, and trim using historically sympathetic color schemes, including faux finishes, combed wood grain effects, and selective gilding. Custom-designed border motifs and restoration of mural areas gave the interiors a renewed sense of reverence and vibrancy.
From emergency stabilization to detailed finishes, the work at St. Joseph’s reflects our commitment to preserving sacred spaces with technical excellence and respect for tradition.
